Hi, my name is Vita Yates and I am a designer and artisan. I am in my fourth year of the Bachelor of Industrial Design program at Carleton University in Ottawa – the unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishinabe Nation.

I have always had a passion for hand crafts, and am constantly inspired to learn new mediums. My education in design has allowed me to approach projects through a user centered lens and learn how to bring a project from an idea through to production. I enjoy exploring various methods to create and communicate my work including prototyping, sketching, and digital mediums.
